Setup Checklist

Use this checklist after installation. Keep the store in setup mode until the Stockr team has reviewed readiness. Entering configuration alone does not enable live workflows.

Open Stockr from the intended Shopify Admin. Confirm the store identity, installation status, granted permissions, and webhook connection with the Stockr team. If you operate several stores, use the multiple-store guide for each installation.

In Settings, review company information, document branding, reply email, part-number metafields, and numbering. Under Setup, add saved company addresses and payment account references.

Review Shopify locations and distinguish physically owned inventory from supplier-backed virtual locations. Confirm the receiving location and currency for your initial test. See configuration.

Create or review a supplier, map its Shopify vendors, and verify pricing and supplier part numbers. Enter that store’s supplier credentials separately. Where available, use read-only connection checks such as Motor State’s card refresh. Check payment and shipping selections before preparing any live PO.

See suppliers and supplier integrations.

Coordinate the appropriate inventory and sales-history sync with the Stockr team. Inspect progress, location quantities, a sample of exact SKUs, supplier mappings, and forecast history coverage. Empty inventory counters immediately after installation do not prove the store has no stock.

Backfill Sales History, Sync New Orders, and Refresh View have different purposes. Refreshing a page does not import missing history. Available history depends on Shopify access; see forecasting.

When the pilot’s configuration review permits it, prepare one representative draft. Check supplier, quantities, cost, payment reference, delivery address, receiving location, and Part #. Compare its PDF with the intended order.

Treat email, supplier submission, receiving, stock adjustments, payment capture, and fulfillment as separate external actions. A PDF preview is not proof that any of those actions ran.

The Stockr team reviews installation readiness before enabling external actions. Agree on the exact first live workflow, verify the result in Shopify and the supplier account, then expand testing. Configure scheduled automation only after the equivalent manual workflow is verified.

Continue with creating POs, receiving, and automation.
